Adoquín means cobblestone. These five hundred year old blue stones cover the old city street where Caleta 64 apartments is located.

This ample apartment blends a contemporary atmosphere with classic Old San Juan Architecture. It is a comfortable Loft in which all areas are integrated. The kitchen, dining, bedroom, living room and balcony flow in harmony.

The heart of this innovative space is the kitchen/dining island, constructed completely out of solid wood, underneath accommodates all the necessities of a modern equipped home.

The table, seats four persons and the living room has a sofa that opens to accommodate two more guests. However, the real essence of this apartment is the balcony, when you open the three seven and a half feet doors/windows, leads to a beautiful colonial balcony, where centennial trees bring in all the shades of green imaginable. The view of this unique residential street in Old San Juan is breathtaking.

The Loft has a Japanese style bed and the bathroom is covered with glass tiles in blue tones. Adoquín is the ultimate luxury apartment for modern spirits.

Stay here. We hunted around, and came to the conclusion this was the best option, and it exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the upstairs apartment, "the cobblestone". It's old world with all the contemporary comforts, and they provide better service than most hotels. Great maid service, with fresh linens and towels every day, and they even did our laundry. The apartment itself is so damn cool. Betsy and Gustavo have great taste, and make sure you have everything you need, right down to some mosquito repellant. It is an authentic, loft style apartment, with very high ceilings. It has three large French doors that open onto a long balcony that overlooks the cobblestone street below. It’s great for having your coffee in the morning, or wine in the evening (or morning). The kitchen and bath areas are, again, so tastefully done, and fully equipped (dishwasher, washer, dryer). The bed is super comfortable, the AC, and ceiling fans work great, and there is even a 42" flat screen HDtv mounted on the wall. The only drawback is you'll want to hang out there, and not see the town-but we did. It has to be the best location in Old San Juan- across from the El Convento, and literally is up the street from “the Door of Old San Juan”(the main gate through the old military wall that surrounds the town).. You are within a few minutes walk of all the great sites, best restaurants, supermarkets and shops. When you consider the style, comfort and location, it is hard to beat.
